4. Difference Between AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning

Many people use the terms AI, Machine Learning (ML), and Deep Learning (DL) interchangeably, but they are distinct layers of technology.

  • Artificial Intelligence:
    The overall concept of machines exhibiting human-like intelligence.

  • Machine Learning:
    A subset of AI that enables systems to learn from data and improve performance without explicit programming. ML algorithms analyse data patterns and make predictions based on past experiences.

  • Deep Learning:
    A subset of Machine Learning inspired by the human brain’s neural networks. It uses layers of artificial neurons to process complex data such as images, speech, or video, achieving higher accuracy in tasks like facial recognition and language translation.
