Description
Play therapy is a type of therapy that involves play and other creative forms of expression to communicate with children and help them to open up about their feelings, as well as understand their thought processes. It is used to support children with a range of mental health issues and disabilities, including children who have been sexually abused and children who are homeless.
In this practical Play Therapy training course, you will learn about the role of a play therapist and gain an insight into the skills and career requirements for this profession. It explores the different types of play therapies, plays therapy toys and materials, and different approaches to playing therapy. You will also explore recent trends in play therapy and familiarise yourself with key clinical practices, gaining both practical and theoretical knowledge.
Please note: This course only gives you the theoretical knowledge that you need to excel in this field. This Play Therapy doesn’t entitle you to practise as an expert in this specific field.

Method of Assessment
To assess your learning, you have to participate in an automated multiple-choice question exam. You have to score at least 60% to pass the exam and to qualify for Quality Licence Scheme endorsed and CPD accredited certificates. After passing the exam, you will be able to apply for a certificate.
In addition, to enhance the depth of your knowledge regarding the course and further assess your learning, you are advised to complete the assignment questions provided at the end of the course, which you can complete anytime you wish.
