Learning Outcome

Description

A barista is a person who serves and prepares coffee, tea and other beverages at a coffee shop or cafe. They can work anywhere from small, independent coffee shops to global cafe chains.

In the Barista Training, you will learn about the role and responsibilities of a barista and the skills required to be a great barista. The course will start by providing an in-depth overview of the history of coffee, as well as how it’s grown and harvested. It will take you through the different types of coffee in detail, explaining step-by-step how they are sorted.

Next, you will learn how to operate an espresso machine and espresso grinder, how to create latte art, and how to make different variations of an espresso. You will also explore best practices for working behind the bar, from clothing and apparel to hygiene standards.

The course is delivered through our online learning platform, accessible through any internet-connected device. There are no formal deadlines or teaching schedules, meaning you are free to study the course at your own pace.
