Course Description
This course is an attempt to demonstrate medical coding to you in the most practical way possible. You’ll explore the strategies and techniques for understanding the standard codes and principles of medical coding, learn the common medical codes and use them to perform the medical billing process correctly. You will also look at how you can review dates of procedures and the billing sheet on the stack, check the documentation of patient’s, gather and remove information such as physician names, assign the appropriate codes and create a claim to be paid by insurance carriers.
